This summer, sipping boba can do more than cool you down — it can help a local student start the school year strong.

From July 1st through August 31st, Bloom & Boba in Chatsworth, CA is teaming up with Assistance League Los Angeles to host a Back-to-School Drive collecting school supplies for unhoused and foster youth across Los Angeles.

Why This Drive Matters

For thousands of LA students, a new backpack or a fresh set of notebooks isn’t a given. Unhoused and foster youth often start the school year without the basics their classmates take for granted. Something as simple as a pack of pencils can help a kid walk into class feeling prepared and confident — and that’s a difference our community can make together.

What to Donate

We’re accepting new school supplies, including:

  • Backpacks
  • Notebooks, binders, and paper
  • Pencils, pens, and crayons
  • Markers, highlighters, and glue sticks
  • Rulers, scissors, and pencil cases

Where to Drop Off

Bring your donations to Bloom & Boba in Chatsworth, CA any time during business hours before August 31st. Look for the donation box inside the shop — drop off your supplies, then treat yourself to a fresh milk tea or matcha latte while you’re here. You’ve earned it.

About Our Partner

Assistance League Los Angeles is a nonprofit that has served LA’s children and families for over a century, providing school uniforms, supplies, and support programs to students in need throughout the region.

Small Cup, Big Impact

Every notebook, backpack, and box of crayons donated goes directly to a local student who needs it. Stop by Bloom & Boba before August 31st, drop off your supplies, and help LA’s youth head back to school ready to bloom. 🌸
